Rosie loved animals from an early age, the exception being dogs, which she had an overwhelming fear of for most of her life. We visited farms where children were encouraged to feed and pet the animals and Rosie really enjoyed this and found it all quite hilarious. We visited one farm where Rosie thought the pigs were just wonderful, she would often ask, even up to her 16th Birthday, if she could have a pig as a pet.
