At the age
of 5 Rosie was already showing off her imaginary skills and giving the
reader a glimpse into her world through story writing. Rosie found reading
both easy and enjoyable, she particularly liked bible stories and would
often draw pictures of her interpretation of life and heaven from these
stories. Maths however was a great mystery to her and remained to be so
for the rest of her life. Her school reports throughout her infant school
all commented on how cheerful, helpful and quiet she was.
Her junior
school reports again echoed how helpful and kind she was and made great
efforts in all subjects, but English still remained her favourite subject.
She had friends in all years and as she went through the school the younger
children always held a special affection with Rosie, she would always
be ready to help them out. One friend who was older than Rosie wrote to
us on her death, that she would always remember Rosie as the little cheerful
girl skipping around the playground.
